Pork DNA has been found in canned beef and half-smoked sausage "Muslim" from the Russian Federation, which are sold on the shelves in Kazakhstan.

The results of the research were shared in the testing laboratory of the Republican State Enterprise on the REM "National Center of Expertise" of the KSEC of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the North Kazakhstan region.

In March of this year, as part of monitoring the quality of consumer goods, the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control in the North Kazakhstan region purchased 38 meat samples.

The study revealed that two samples of canned beef and one sample of sausage products turned out to be inappropriate: half-smoked sausage "Muslim" (Russia, Republic of Bashkortastan); canned lumpy meat sterilized "stewed beef of the highest grade" (Russia, Kurgan); canned lumpy meat sterilized "stewed beef top grade" (Russia, Oryol region).

Also, in canned meat-containing, minced, sterilized. “Dinner pork” chicken DNA was found (Russia, Moscow region).

In connection with the identified violations, these products are included in the register of non-conforming products.

According to specialists of the NCE branch, food products are repeatedly labeled incorrectly by manufacturers, including those that do not correspond to the characteristics stated on the label.
